What is the best software to use for home Budget Preparation and management?
I like Microsoft Money. I have the latest version of it and it comes with 6 months on-line support free. I helps with budgeting, tracking spending, and online account registers. I can even balance your check book by comparing online statements with what you have entered. In addition to that you can access Money online anytime away from your computer and tap into your personal finances anywhere securely. I’m not trying to sell Money to you LOL! 
but why use a paper ledger when something like this is much easier and more accurate. It even reminds you of upcoming bills and can enter it into your register for you! Check out Microsoft Money 2007 and I believe it has a demo and a free 30 day trial.
